This track was written during Hurricane Harvey making it the final song written for the album. Preston wrote most of the lyrics in a flash while Michael had been playing with the music separately for some time. However it wasn't the idea to combine the two aspects that marked the completion of the song, but Michael's acquisition of a Squier Bass VI and his discovery of the sound that characterizers the track.
